Yesterday marked exactly 18 years since we took over Safari Meats & SA Shop, and honestly, we are feeling incredibly emotional and grateful.
​Just when we thought the day couldn't get any better, one of our amazing customers surprised us with this beautiful cake! Thank you to the amazing Herselman Family, Claudette, Francois and Khloe 🌸

It’s hard to believe we’ve been here for 18 years! ❤️💚💙

Over the years, we’ve shared countless memories, met lifelong friends, raised our kids in the store, and watched the South African community come together time and time again around good food and found families away from home.

What started as a small dream (and a big move across the sea!) has grown into something truly special because of all of you. From quick chats over the counter to busy Christmas rushes, weekend braais, and families who have supported us from the very beginning… thank you for being part of our lives and the endless support we have received.

To celebrate, we’re hosting an Anniversary Week (2nd of June to 6th of June) filled with specials, spot prizes, raffles (on sale from today!), and our Market Day on June 6th 🎉🔥

We’d love for you to come celebrate with us!

Our students are headed back to university, and another staff member has moved away, so we are on the lookout for a full-time butcher's assistant to join our family-owned store! 🇿🇦 While experience working in butcheries are a plus, we’re happy to provide training for the right person.
What we’re after:
- Butchery experience or willingness to learn
- A "can-do" attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and physically fit
- Energetic and Motivated
- A team player who values cleanliness and respects their colleagues
- Must have the right to work in New Zealand
