Huge congratulations are in order for Natasha from our Butchery team, who last Saturday was recognized at the Foodstuffs North Island Excellence Awards. We are thrilled that Natasha graduated from her butchery apprenticeship and took third place in the Butchery Apprentice of the Year category.
Our pride in her achievement is immense. The event celebrated the best of our stores and teams, with 230 graduates - a testament to the great work being done. It's a fantastic opportunity for our people to build a lifelong career.

🍎We are seeking a motivated and energetic Produce Manager to lead our fresh department and deliver an outstanding shopping experience for our customers. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and takes pride in fresh, high-quality produce.

🍅About the Role
As Produce Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the produce department, ensuring exceptional presentation, freshness, and availability of stock while leading a small team. Hours are 5:00am - 1:30pm Tuesday - Saturday.

🥕Key Responsibilities
Maintaining high standards of product quality, freshness, and food safety
Ordering, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste
Creating visually appealing displays to maximize sales
Leading, training, and motivating team members
Delivering excellent customer service and engagement
Monitoring department performance and achieving targets
Ensuring compliance with health & safety and store policies

🫛What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in retail, produce, or grocery management
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
A passion for fresh food and quality presentation
Ability to work early mornings and in a physically active role
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
