The Half Marathon After Party is on!! with a change of venue to The Old Packhouse Market, 505 Kerikeri Rd. Put it in your diary. Party at The Packhouse, Sat 22nd Nov. Three bands booked for the main stage, and DJ. The community has pulled together to make the event happen.

Eventually I managed to check out the competition. 😆
I visited the good people at All You Knead in Whangarei. Had a nice talk with the German baker. Very friendly. Of course there wasn't any bread left. A good sign.
I tried the Pragel a cross between Pretzel and Bagel, had a Croissant (one of the best I had), a German cheese cake with berries (just like mum's) and - I even got a loaf of bread from their freezer which they usually don't sell.
What can I say. Excellent bread and cakes. I would be proud of this if I would have made it.
So people, if you are in Whangarei, go to Vine St and give the nice people at All You Knead some love. Support your really local bakeries.
