🌶️ Carolina Reaper – 1,641,183 SHU
(Official Guinness World Record average)

🌶️ Pepper X – 2,693,000 SHU
(Current Guinness World Record average)

Pepper X is officially recognised by Guinness as the world's hottest chilli, and that's an incredible achievement by Ed Currie.

The difference is that Pepper X seed isn't publicly available for growers to purchase, grow and submit for their own independent laboratory testing.
