Mr G asked me to share a bit more about what happens behind the scenes here at the Goulter’s factory, especially the "green" side of things.

A lot of people don’t realize that being a small family business in Nelson gives us the freedom to do things a bit differently. We don't have to wait for a board of directors to tell us to be sustainable—we just do it because it makes sense.

Here is a bit of what that looks like on the ground:

🌬️Natural Cooling: We make use of a bore hole directly under the factory to cool our plant down—it’s a simple way to work with the natural resources we have right here.

♻️ The Circular Economy: We’ve always pushed for refilling containers for our customers. Keeping a bottle in the loop is much better than creating a new one.

💧Waste & Water: We are constantly looking at our water use and waste minimisation at every step of the process.

🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 Our People: After 30 years in operation, we’re still a family business at heart. Looking after our staff and our local community is just as important as the vinegar we make.

We don't need a B corp certificate to tell us to look after the land or our people—it's just what we do.
