It’ll be the end of the season at the Marlborough Farmers’ Market tomorrow morning for Windsong Orchard. Will have feijoas at prices for all wallets, a few precious last figs and my favourite crunchy persimmons. Autumn delights all of them. Hope to see you there.

There's a lot of hard, repetitive work involved in our day to day tasks on the orchard but one of the best parts of growing food is hearing back from happy customers.
We move most of our feijoa crop by mailing list orders, sending boxes of them up and down the country and this week I had some feedback that particularly made me smile.
"I just wanted to say your feijoas are beautiful and so tasty. I ordered a box for myself and a friend, and they have lasted almost 10 days and are still going strong. My kids love them, and I’ve been making feijoa fizz and almond feijoa cake. Thank you."
"Your feijoas are so delicious. Nothing like them- that freshness, zest and sparkle"
"even with courier fees ends up cheaper than the supermarket, and they are organic!"

We are peak season now, our order page if I've made your mouth water.

To our lovely supportive customers, we are still selling fruit but you’ll have to come down the driveway. Unfortunately somebody has stolen the cashbox from the stall on the road after a bunch of stealing money so I’ve given up on that one for the time being. Toot your horn at the shed if there’s no one there and will come and help you.

Fortunate/Unfortunate: The first of our long awaited omegas will star at the Marlborough Farmers’ Market Sunday! Unfortunately the big winds yesterday harvested more than we had planned. Fortunately we have a lovely soft organic lay for their landing so they are mainly in great condition. So the last fortunate is you’ll be able to buy the windfall for $5 kg. Come early and get your plum sauce supplies!
