A little garden question for youđ€©
For years we've planted things simply because we love them.
This year our proteas have finally reached the point where they're giving us more than just a flower or two. For the first time, we've got enough blooms to start wondering what's next. But it got us thinking...
Do people still buy flowers because they're fashionable, or because they genuinely love them?
Proteas are a bit different. They're not your Dahila or Tuilp. People seem to either absolutely love them or walk straight past them.
So we're curious, when you see a protea, what do you think?
Beautiful? Unique? Too unusual? A florist favourite? A garden must-have? Would you choose them for your vase, or are they a flower you admire from afar?
Your answers might just help us decide whether we plant a whole lot more of them, so please tell us honestly, are proteas underrated or overrated?
