Ray the Butcher was proud to support the Epro Ltd team at the Kids Greening Day today.

Epro does an incredible job supporting our local community, and we’re always happy to get behind the great work they do.

It was a big day on the BBQ, with around 2,000 sausages cooked for all the hardworking volunteers, students, teachers, and whānau! 🌭🔥

Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a fantastic day for our tamariki and our environment. 💚🌱

Today is Benji’s last day with us for his work experience placement from Tauhara College!

A huge thank you to Benji for all of your hard work, great attitude, and willingness to get stuck in over the past weeks. We’ve really enjoyed having you as part of the team and wish you all the very best for the future.

We are always keen to support and help our young locals wherever we can, and it’s great to see young people gaining hands-on experience in our community.

OPENING MONDAY!! 🎉😍

We are incredibly grateful for the support from our amazing community over the past week. The messages, patience, and encouragement have truly meant a lot to our team during a challenging time.

We’ve had to overcome some significant hurdles recently, but we’re pleased to say we are now back on track and working hard behind the scenes to get everything ready for reopening on Monday.

We can’t wait to welcome you all back into the store and see familiar faces again.

UPDATE:

Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to get the store back up and running. While we’ve made great progress, we have encountered a few delays along the way.

At this stage, we are aiming to reopen around Friday, and we will provide a further update as we get closer to the time.

In the meantime, the team has taken a well-deserved opportunity to spend some time together. We are incredibly proud of their professionalism, resilience, and the way they have supported one another throughout this process.

IMPORTANT UPDATE, for our community.

While our shop was closed and no one was on site, an electrical fire broke out in the back area of our store. This has caused a significant amount of damage, but we are very grateful that it was contained to our staff area and did not affect our service or butchery production spaces.

We do have some clean-up ahead of us, so we will be closed tomorrow. All going well, we’re aiming to reopen in the next couple of days and will keep you updated as we go.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our incredible community who jumped into action and helped save our shop, the amazing firefighters for their support, Grab & Bites next door for keeping us fed, and everyone else who has reached out. We’ve been truly overwhelmed with the support and messages — it means so much to us.

We look forward to seeing you all again very soon ❤️
