🛒 New World Temuka Refurbishment Update #4 🛠️

We’re halfway there, Temuka!!

This week has seen the completion of our dairy section along the back wall of the store. There’s been a bit of juggling in dairy this week, so thank you for bearing with us while everything was being moved around.

Just this morning we started filling the first third of our new freezers and they’re looking amazing already. Next week the remaining freezers will be installed on Tuesday night and by the end of the week they should all be fully stocked.
Whoo hoo!

With just over three weeks to go the remaining pieces of the jigsaw puzzle are: the relocation of the liquor department and the installation of the rest of the new produce cabinets and our new deli cabinets.

We’ve had such a great week with so many of you stopping to chat and share your excitement. We’re incredibly grateful for all the positivity and support you’ve shown throughout the refurbishment process.

As always, a massive shout out to our team who are working tirelessly whilst the store is going through all the changes, you guys are awesome 💕

🛒New World Temuka Refurbishment Update #3 🛠️

Things have continued to progress with the refurbishment this week, with the completion of the left-hand wall as you enter the store. The fruit has never looked so good!! 🍎🥝🍊

You’ll continue to see some changes in the dairy section over the rest of this week as it gradually moves to its new home.

Next week we’ll begin work on the freezers- a long-anticipated step that we know many of you have been waiting for. This stage will take place over two weeks and will result in upright freezers being installed, which is really exciting.

As always, thank you to everyone for your patience and support, especially as products shift around the store which we realize can take some time to adjust to. Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask 😃

🛒New World Temuka Refurbishment Update #2 🛠️

This week has been an exciting one full of progress!
80% of our new meat cabinets are now installed, up and running and stacked with amazing meat prepared by our fantastic butchery team- Josh, Les, Tyler, TJ and Ross 👏 We’ve also installed chilled pet food and have started moving dairy products to the back wall of the store.

The progress continues this coming Monday night with the installation of the final butchery cabinet, along with the first of our brand-new produce cabinets being installed.

Behind the scenes, the teams from Cosell and TCE Electrical have been working tirelessly to ensure the smooth installation of all the new cabinets. Replacing refrigeration in a supermarket is an incredibly complex process and we’ve been blown away by their skill and expertise.

To our staff- thank you for your patience, hard work and loyal support while these changes take place. And to our customers- we love the questions, the curiosity and the excitement. Your understanding and encouragement has been truly appreciated.
