Yesterday Morning our magnificent Kererū flew into the Orchard. I was arm lengths away .
Excuse the shaking. I couldn't believe how close I got 😍

Thank you so very much ❤️ for the phenomenal support we have received.
It was a massive day!!
I was up at 4:30am yesterday and went to bed at 2am this morning.

I had our beautiful Kererū come visit us this morning. I managed to get within arms length this morning.😍

Grading Tamarillos takes hours
It's very time consuming and then I select the best fruit out of the Tag 3 to give to you.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and thank you for your continued support.

Delicious 😋
I need to make it in a smaller baking dish next time and I'll add a bit more filling to it before I put the sponge on top.

Not bad for my first attempt.

I just feel like comfort food tonight.
Coming from a Chef Background I never really cooked with Tamarillos .
I however have made many Litres of Tamarillo Sorbet as part of a dessert.

I'm slowly going to start experimenting and trying new recipes with Tamarillos.

They are so versatile.

Now let's see how this Tamarillo and Apple sponge turns out...

I'm trying out 2 different recipes as I didn't like the look of the recipe I found....
One which is the base
And the other for the sponge

I just sent Graham to get vanilla ice cream as we don't have any!

A busy day in the Orchard. Graham and his dad have been cutting down some trees to make way to plant more Tamarillos.

We had Matt (see his details end) to help stump grind tree trunks. It's hard going what he does.

Graham then had to take the tractor and level out the dirt.

Orchard is looking good.

Next week we start picking again
