Just a little panui to cover a couple of things: 😁

1. CONSTRUCTION
The shop is undergoing some construction at this time and will take about 2 weeks to complete. Its only a new chiller getting put in nothing special ☺️ So just be carefull of our tamariki and babies please and thank you.

2. NZ POST
**Reminder that the post bags do not include postage - postage must also be purchased before it can be sent.

Parcels & Mail.
This comes in Monday to Friday mornings. it gets dropped off to the shop by 9:30am/10:00am at the latest. It then needs to be scanned into our post shop, sorted and then put away into you post boxes. this is normally completed by 12:00pm at the latest depending on the parcel and mail volume. PLEASE GIVE AUNTY TWEENIE THIS TIME TO SORT IT ALL OUT BEFORE COMING IN AND TRYING TO FIND PARCELS BEFORE THEY ARE SORTED. Thank You 😀

Sending Parcels Overseas.
Unfortunately we no longer provide this service as we do not have the proper equipment for this service. Next place to do this is Gisborne. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Post Boxes.
In order for our community to continue having free post boxes everyone must keep up to date with address changes.
- every time you move you must update address
- if you move out of Tolaga Bay you must complete a closure form

Only 1 box can be register under 1 Home address. The next person who registers the same address will then have to pay for that post box. (Make sense) So its very important to update your address so the next person who registers that address also get a free box.
*** NOTE. If you move houses (in Uawa) you don't have to get a new box you just have to update your address. KA PAI 😁

We have started placing forms into boxes for those of you who need to have there address updated. NZ Post Box and Bag also need to see proof of your address. This can be emailed directly to them: [email protected]

Update Adress and Closure Forms can either be done online through NZ Post or the forms are provided at the shop that you can fill out and return back to us.

All of this needs to be done in order for us to continue receiving free Post Boxes. 😊 The fee for a Post Box is $180.00 per year.

Just a quick Tip for Friday. 😊

We provide shopping baskets at George and Mildreds they live next to the bread.

So if you’re grabbing a few items let’s grab a shopping basket to put your items into instead of leaving your items on the counter so we can serve other customers.

It makes it a little harder to serve other customers when we have all the shopping sitting on the counter when shopping is still continuing 😊

So remember shopping baskets 😂 They live next to the bread and the bread is situated next to the door we all walk in and out of 🥳

Part-Time Sales Assistant Wanted at George and Mildreds Supermarket. 😊

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Afternoon
3:00pm till 7:00pm

MUST BE:
- Honest
- Reliable
- Able to handle unloading pallets of alcohol and being on your feet for a long period of time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and willingness to always help the customer
- Operate Tills (3 at once sometimes) and handle money
- Stock shelves and maintain store cleanliness and keep it organised
- Restocking and replenishing all store products
- Capable of closing the store
- Handle postage needs. Sending, Receiving, And handling customer parcels and mail.

Just a couple of kind reminder. As we are starting to slip again 😂😊

1. PLEASE CHECK YOUR MAIL BOXES FIRST FOR YOUR YELLOW CARD BEFORE COMING TO SEE THE STAFF IF YOU HAVE A PARCEL.

These yellow cards let you know you have a parcel. And it also helps with time management- trying to look for a parcel someone else from your household has already collected.
Our mail lady is human and we all forget things and sometimes there’s no card in your box but you’re expecting a parcel, Then that’s kei te pai we will be happy to see if it’s here for you. 😊

2. The post table/area. Unfortunately no staff member sits in that corner most the day, unless doing mail. So if no one’s there please see someone at the counter who can help you find the parcel 😊

3. Please be respectful and don’t help yourself to the parcels or go behind the mail table searching for your parcel. (Unless already agreed with us to do so) some people have been grabbing other peoples parcels by mistake 👀 This is a no no!

Good Afternoon Uawa Whanau.

Just a heads up - both George and Mildreds and the Liquor Stop will be closing early today. We will be closing the doors at 5pm tonight. 98% of our staff have the nasty bug that’s going around. So closing early to janola and disinfect the shop and give my staff a few extra hours to rest.
