Whoopee! Today marks exactly two weeks until our first market of the season!
On Saturday 26th September from 8.30am -12.30 pm at Waihi Beach School we’ll be starting the new season off with a bang!

We can’t wait to be back, bringing fresh locally grown fruit and veggies, amazing locally made crafts and artisan produce and loads of yummy food options for you to stop, relax and listen to one of our fabulous buskers. Plus of course the morning necessity - Coffee.

We have a great number and variety of vendors booked already for the opening market and the only thing we need to make it a cracker start to the season is you!
Our vendors love bringing you their gorgeous products and the best way to ensure we keep getting great variety is to make sure you support this local market.

Over the next two weeks we’ll be introducing new vendors, and reminding you of your favourites -watch this space.

The second exciting thing happening this coming season at Waihi Beach Saturday Farmers market is a monthly car boot/second hand sale. This will be run alongside the usual market.

A few years back there was a fabulous annual second hand sale in Waihi Beach - since that ended there has been no Waihi beach specific space to sell your good quality second hand goods:
Bric a brac
Household items
Small furniture
Toys
Clothing

Every 3rd Saturday of the month during the market season we are including space for a car boot sale.

This is another great chance to get your kids/teens out selling- clear out their old toys and make some pocket money.

The dates through to the end of 2026 are;
Saturday 21st November
Saturday 19th December
8.30am-12.30pm at Waihi Beach Primary School.
The cost for a stall will be $20.

There's some exciting changes this season at the Waihi Beach Farmers Market!
I'll deal with them one at a time in new FB posts.
First up - CHILDREN and YOUNG ENTEPRENEURS - we want to get you marketing!

It's no secret that getting your first job (part time or full time) is currently REALLY HARD. I see concerned parents regularly talking about the tens and sometimes up to a hundred applications their young people make without getting a chance.
There's no simpler way to gain the skills that will get you a job than by joining us as a vendor at the Waihi Beach Farmers Market:

Reliability - booking and turning up even in the early mornings each weekend
Customer Service - being face to face with customers each market gives you an edge when applying for jobs that require these skills.
Producing or Ordering Product - whether you've got the skills to make a great product to sell or an idea that you know will be marketable (within our Farmer market and Artisan craft parameters).
Cash and EFTPOS Handling - add to this the skill of using your math brain to add up purchase costs and change needed for customers with cash.

Young Entrepreneurs up to 18years old are welcome every week at Waihi Beach Saturday Farmers Market - stalls for those building these awesome skills for the future will only cost you $15 per market.

How do I know this works? The photo below is of my daughter - who started selling at Markets when she was 9 - she attended second hand markets and sold her old toys - then from 13-15 years she ran a stall at Waihi Beach Farmer Market doing Glitter Tattoos - she found a product and made it into something that kids, teens and even adults loved. The skills she learned were exactly why she was employed in her first part time job at 15 years old and they've been useful ever since.

With the Waihi beach Saturday farmers market starting on 26th of September for the new season I thought now was a great time to highlight a few of our bigger market events so that locals and visitors to the beach can pop them into your calendars:

We’ll be celebrating LABOUR WEEKEND on Saturday 24th October with a big market full of our usual locally grown produce and food vendors, plus we’ll have lots of fabulous artisan crafts and artisan produce on display.

On Saturday December 12th we’re holding our XMAS MARKET . A chance to stock up on yummy produce and find beautiful one off gifts for all of the special people in your life. I’m pretty sure Santa will also make an appearance on the day to help the littlies(and biggies) get into the Christmas spirit!

We’re going to be open every Saturday through the holiday period- why go into the city for BOXING DAY sales when you can enjoy a fabulous day at Waihi beach and hit our WAIHI BEACH SATURDAY FARMERS MARKET to fill your tables and your tummies with wonderful fresh produce and foods. There’s sure to be a good number of crafts to buy for anyone you forgot a present for on the big day or just to treat yourself.

This year, just two days after NEW YEARS, - what better way to start the new year than with an early stroll on the beach and a stop in at the WAIHI BEACH SATURDAY FARMERS MARKET for breakfast, a browse and a chance to catch up with friends. It’s a great chance for crafts vendors to make a whole weekend of it at Waihi beach with the summer fair on the next day- It will be a huge weekend!

AUCKLAND ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND this year is set to be a great one at Waihi Beach. We’ll have a huge WAIHI BEACH SATURDAY FARMERS MARKET on Saturday 30th January with loads of gorgeous handcrafted goodies as well. We’re aiming for sunshine, music and good times!

Just before our season ends we’ll be celebrating EASTER at the SATURDAY WAIHI BEACH FARMERS MARKET on Saturday 27th March.
We’ll have the Easter bunny handing out treats, Easter eggs to find on lots of our stalls, and loads of our usual fresh local produce, artisan products and artisan crafts.

So many reasons to visit Waihi beach this summer!

The new season at Waihi Beach Farmers Market starts Saturday 26th September 8.30am - 12.30pm at our usual spot at Waihi Beach School.

While we’re still in the thick of winter it’s fabulous to have the upcoming season to look forward to with lots of fresh produce, artisan products, yummy food and drinks and crafts all made and produced in our local region.

If you’re a visitor or a local we would love to see you at the opening market- it’s been a long winter without you all 😊

🎄❄Our Midwinter Christmas market 🎄❄ is tomorrow! We have had amazing support and our stallholder are excited. We will have new and returning stallholders so come check them out.

🎅 Santa will be making an appearance from 4.15pm to 5pm,
👉 👈 Ooshie swap party set to start at 4pm,
🎨 Face painting by Donation from Little Amigos Face Painting ,
🎵🎶 Live music by Lillybeth Sings ,
📸 Our photo area will be set up so come and take a family pic,

🍷 And we will have FEIJOA mulled w**e (non alcoholic) available.

For those of you missing the market on Saturdays, FYI some of your key stalls are here on Sundays during winter at the Katikati Sunday Farmers Market 9am-1pm, this week we welcome fresh bread and more by Just Bread, great food, honey, fresh organic vegetables and hot food coffee and more.

Inside the heated Katikati Memorial Hall. Pets welcome on a lead. See you there.
