Kia ora, beautiful Waikanae community
We wanted to share a little update with you, with warmth and respect.
Due to a kitchen upgrade and the installation of new equipment, our café will be closed on coming Monday 30.03.2026.
We are truly sorry for the last‑minute notice and any inconvenience this may cause. Your support means everything to us, and we never want to disrupt your day unless it’s absolutely necessary.
The good news is, we’ll be back the very next Day Tuesday 31.03.2026, refreshed, upgraded, and ready to continue serving this amazing community with the same love, quality, and care you always show us.
Thank you for your understanding, your kindness, and for being part of our journey.

A lovely lady accidentally left her bag behind at our shop Yesterday (21/03/2026). If this might be yours, please come by and collect it, we’ve kept it safe for you and would love to reunite you with it as soon as possible.

If anyone recognises the bag or knows who it belongs to, please feel free to reach out or let her know. And if it’s not collected today, we’d really appreciate some advice from the community on the best place to hand it in so it gets back to its owner safely.

Good Afternoon,
We have a lot of information for you today.

As many of you know, my health has not been the best, I need to take some time to get it sorted. Because of this, we have sold Rachelle's Kitchen.
I've been working with the new owners over the past few weeks to bring them up to speed with our recipes and the way we like to do things.
Please help support them as they carry on with what we have built.

The new owners take over Thursday of this week, so as this is our last week we ask that you please pre-pay for your order this week either online, or pop into the shop.
We want our last week to be awesome & profitable!

The new owner insists everything will remain the same, you will still be able to get your favourite pies! and order them for pickup Friday/Saturday, you'll still see our same friendly staff serving you.
You may still see me around for a while.
