India on the verge of losing its dominance in South Asia?

The fall of the Sheikh Hasina government in Bangladesh is a major setback for Indian foreign policy. The political influence and dominance that India had built over the South Asian countries for a long time has collapsed in a flash with the change in the government in Bangladesh. Delhi may not have imagined that its long-term ally would one day undergo such a change. There is a kind of disappointment in the Indian government due to the political change in Bangladesh. India's influence in other South Asian countries, such as Sri Lanka, Nepal and the Maldives, is also decreasing. Now this change in Bangladesh is another big defeat for them. Their disappointment is being expressed in incidents like the attack on the Bangladesh High Commission. India is trying to show the issue from a religious perspective. Showing respect for the own politics and sovereignty of South Asian countries has now become a major challenge for India.
