From the ground up: building a truly edible garden for the camp. 🌿✨

When we envisioned the future of Kooks’ Korner and Get Lost, we knew we wanted the farm-to-table experience to be completely literal. We’re building an edible garden not just for our own household, but to feed every guest who pulls up a chair at our table.

We’re committed to doing this the right way from day one. No quick fixes. We are building our beds from scratch using organic material, our own rich compost, and layers of green matter and mulch to create a thriving, living soil ecosystem. It’s slow, dirty work, but it’s the only way to guarantee absolute purity from seed to plate.

This plot of land is coming to life because of the incredible generosity of our neighborhood. We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has given us knowledge on circular eco systems, donated soil, gave us seedlings, and contributed what most would normally consider “trash” — the endless piles of old wood, dried leaves, branches, and yard clippings that have become our garden’s lifeforce. This week’s sunset grill is a battle of the heavyweights. ⚔️🌅

We’re opening the camp gates this weekend for another intimate sunset BBQ session, and the main event is entirely up to you. Will you go for the massive, bone-in crust of a USDA Black Angus Cowboy Ribeye, or the melt-in-your-mouth richness of a USDA Angus Picanha?

We’re pairing these elite cuts with our artisanal sausage platters, fire-kissed farm veggies, and an incredibly smooth, nutty dessert to close out the night. Wash it all down with an ice cold Pinatubo Craft B**r right as the sun dips. 🍻✨

We’re firing up the grill tomorrow for a laid-back sunset BBQ by the beach. We’ve already got campers staying with us this weekend, so we only have a few extra seats available for dinner.

Here’s how the afternoon goes:

🌊 4:00 PM – Gates open. Swim, hang out by the beach, or just slow down for a while.
🔥 6:00 PM – The grill’s ready just as the sun starts to set.

Expect our signature steaks, handmade sausages, and a few things we’re excited to cook over the fire.

Rainy days call for proper comfort food. ⛈️ Today we’re having our version of sopas with herb-y sausages.

Our naturally cured breakfast sausages are locally crafted by a Dutch artisan using real meat, herbs, and salt. No fillers. No funny business.

One of our favorite ways to sneak in more veggies? Hide them under layers of cheese and quality Angus ground beef. 😬 This zucchini casserole is hearty, comforting, and just happens to be low carb. Don’t cheat, pair it with shirataki rice, caulirice, or our low carb bread! 🤤
