POSTING FOR AWARENESS ka Ketosentials:
Yesterday, we booked a COD transaction through Maxim but didn’t include the receiver's contact number to prevent scammers from gaining access. However, the scammers have changed their approach.
Now, they ACCEPT the booking, ASK for the receiver's number under the guise of confirming the order, then CANCEL the booking and TEXT the receiver pretending to be from the store. They ask for payment via PayMaya since PayMaya does not show the account name (unlike GCash) to trick the receiver. Thankfully, our customer reached out through our official page and didn’t fall for it.
Note to all customers: If we agreed on a COD transaction, we will stick with the COD booking unless we notify you otherwise via our FB page. Always verify with us directly to avoid falling victim to scammers exploiting the Maxim app.
