THE BANKING SYSTEM EXPLAINED (WHAT THEY’RE HIDING FROM YOU)

Most people think banks exist to “protect your money.”

That’s the fairy tale we were all taught.

But that’s not what banks do.

And it’s definitely not how the banking system works.

In fact, once you understand this one truth, you’ll never look at a bank or your savings account the same way again:
Banks don’t store your money.

They use it.

Let me explain.

1. When you deposit money into a bank, it becomes the bank’s asset — not yours.

This is the part that shocks people.

You think you’re putting money into a “safe place.”

The bank sees it as their capital.

Your deposit becomes their liability — something they owe you later.

So the bank now has a problem:

They owe you interest…
but your money is just sitting there.

To pay you, the bank must make money with your money.

2. Banks “multiply” your deposits through loans.

If the bank promises you 3% interest, that’s an expense for them.

To cover it, they need to lend your money at 6%, 7%, 8% or more.

So the bank takes your deposit — the money you worked for —
and loans it out to someone else.

- Mortgages.
- Car loans.
- Business loans.
- Credit cards.

Every dollar the bank lends out creates new money in the system.

That money didn’t exist until the loan was created.

That’s why the banking system is built on debt —
because debt is how money is created.

3. The money flows in one direction: FROM Main Street TO Wall Street.

This is the part banks hope you never learn.

Here’s the real cycle:

- You work for money.
- You deposit it into your bank.
- Your bank owes you a small return.

To pay you, they lend YOUR money out at a higher rate.

The bank earns the spread.

They take their fees.

Whatever is left trickles back to you.

The whole system exists to extract value from the people who save money…

and transfer it to the people who use money.

4. Inflation is the silent partner in this system.

While your money sits in a bank earning a tiny return…
inflation quietly destroys your purchasing power.

Your balance stays the same,
but it buys less every year.

If inflation is 6% and your bank pays 3%, you’re losing 3% every single year — even though the number on your bank statement doesn’t change.

This is why savers fall behind.

And it’s why banks love when you keep your money sitting with them.

5. The entire banking system depends on you NOT understanding this.

If people knew how banks actually worked,
they would stop treating them like guardians of wealth
and start seeing them for what they are:

A business.
A middleman.
A profit machine built on your deposits.

Banks don’t get rich by saving money.

- They get rich by moving money.
- They get rich by lending money.
- They get rich by using money.
- They get rich by charging fees on money.

And they get rich because most people never learn how any of this works.

The banking system is not your financial friend.

It’s not your protector.

It’s not your advisor.

It is a system designed to take your deposits…
multiply them through debt…

earn interest on them…
collect fees on them…
and return the leftovers back to you.

When you finally understand this, you stop believing in the myth of “saving” and start educating yourself on how the game actually works.

Because in the world of money,
you’re either the one earning interest…

or the one paying it.

But once you understand the banking system,
you stop being the product — and start becoming the player.

SHIELD AGAINST SUPERTYPHOON UWAN

The site sits on the steep flanks of the Sierra Madre, a mountain range long regarded as a natural storm shield that helps blunt the worst winds and rains from Pacific-born cyclones. “The Sierra Madre reduces wind exposure and downstream rainfall for parts of northeastern Luzon.

⛰️Geological history
The Sierra Madre mountain range in the Philippines was formed around 20 million years ago by the Pacific plate, which pushed the archipelago into the Pacific Ring of Fire.
It forms the eastern backbone of Luzon, stretching from Cagayan in the north to Quezon in the south.

🧔Human history
Indigenous peoples: The mountains have been home to various indigenous groups for thousands of years.

The Agta have lived in the area for nearly 35,000 years, and their history is intertwined with the range's ecology.

The Remontados, or "those who fled to the hills," are Negrito groups who settled in the mountains to avoid Spanish subjugation, according to the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

🌐Modern history:
Parts of the range have been declared a protected area, as seen in the designation of the Northern Sierra Madre Natural Park in the 1990s.

The name "Sierra Madre" also refers to a World War II-era U.S. Navy vessel that the Philippines has since deliberately beached in the South China Sea, but this is a separate entity from the mountain range itself.

🏞Environmental history
Historically, the Sierra Madre was home to the largest remaining tract of rainforest in the Philippines, but this has been significantly impacted by deforestation, illegal hunting, and other human activities.

The range is known for its incredible biodiversity, which is a major reason why it is considered vital for conservation efforts.
