The vegetable crops cultivated by the members of the Balintad Integrated Farmers Association (BIFA), located in Sitio Binasan, Rogongon, Iligan City, have begun to bear small fruits. Among the vegetables grown are bitter gourd, string beans, eggplant, and Baguio beans. This initiative forms part of BIFA’s ongoing efforts to produce quality vegetables for distribution and sale in the local markets and at the KADIWA outlet.
According to the BIFA President Mr. Oding Sayana, “The association plans to further expand its cultivation areas and plant additional varieties of vegetables and other high-value crops. This will enable us to increase production and, in turn, enhance the income of our members.”
