I’m not sure where to begin, but maybe with this:
In the spirit of John “the runner-up GOAT” Cena’s retirement tour (we the ones ☝️), Kiqo. is going to sleep. This might be a small blip in the grander scheme of things, but Kiqo. wanted to leave a few words before leaving. After a series of unfortunate events over the past year and months (the absence speaks for itself), Kiqo is making its final curtain call. What once was simply is not there anymore (Ang Nawawala reference, iykyk).
Words are hard.
It has been a wild ride since the pandemic ended. Gigs went from “oh, familiar faces” to “the kids are alright.” It was a privilege to see and document the scene, its artists, and its people grow and evolve. Artists reached new heights, put local talent on the map, shared mentorship, support, and heart. Not just in music, but in the broader art community. I have seen different disciplines come together for one cause, and I hope those collaborations continue to elevate the art scene in Iloilo. Kiqo will always be here in spirit, cheering from the sidelines.
Alright, this is way past my word count. Padayon kamo, elevate, create, and keep inspiring.
The page will remain open as a sort of time capsule, and maybe a few backlogs will still make their way here.
May you continue creating art that speaks a thousand thoughts through different eyes.
Bounce,
Kiqo.
