I was craving jjajangmyeon the other day… so I gave in and cooked myself a comforting bowl. 🖤
Paired it with some dumplings and voilà! Instant Korean-style snack date with myself 🥟🍜✨

I know jjajangmyeon isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Even for me, it was an acquired taste at first. But now? It’s honestly one of my favorite instant ramyeon flavors! I haven’t tried the real, freshly made jjajangmyeon yet — just the instant kind — but now I’m really curious. If the instant version is this good, how much more the authentic one?

📌 Fun fact: Jjajangmyeon is a Korean-Chinese comfort food made with noodles and rich, savory black bean sauce (chunjang), usually with pork, onions, and sometimes potatoes. It’s popular for quick, satisfying meals — and even more special on Black Day (April 14), when singles in Korea eat it as a comforting treat.

I whipped this up using Korean fish cakes for a quick and cozy treat. Was craving for tteokbokki but did not have rice cakes, so I made this tteokbokki-style fish cake… and of course topped it with some melty cheese! 🥹✨

Sometimes the best meals come from a little creativity (and a lot of cheese)!
