On May 20, Meta fired roughly 8,000 employees in a 4 AM email bloodbath. The same week, Mark Zuckerberg posted a job listing. The role? A "beach water person" for his sprawling Kauai compound in Hawaii .

The job is a mix of private lifeguard, boat deckhand, and water sports instructor. Duties include guarding the pool and beach, teaching stand-up paddleboarding, canoe paddling, and snorkeling to Zuckerberg, his family, and guests . The pay is $50 to $55 per hour, seasonal and on-call, based at the billionaire's controversial estate that reportedly features an underground bunker . The listing was spotted on Greenhouse, linked to West 10, the Zuckerberg family office . It has since disappeared.

Meta is worth $1.5 trillion. But apparently, nobody there knows how to teach the boss to snorkel.
