Tommy and Doyet Trading is a General Merchandiser of different products such as vegetables, fruits, rice, groceries, frozen goods, and meat catering varied markets from retail, wholesale and up to corporate marketing industry. It is owned by the spouses Tomas and Julieta Arellano which is now turned as family business managed by their children. In 1985 when the newly married couple, Tomas and Julieta Arellano, started to operate their business. At first, they were just rice and sari-sari store retailer at a small stall located at Old Lipa Public Market.They started with two workers assigned in assisting the customers and delivering the products if needed. After several years of establishing their business, a fire incident destroyed the part of the market where their business was also located. Instead of being discouraged, they us the incident to dream big and expand their business. They rented a bigger place where they could sell not only rice but also grocery and sari-sari store items. It was in 1994 when they rented at Leonor’s building located in the New Lipa City Public Market. Because of providing quality products and giving a quality service, the firm has progressed a lot where they had many loyal customers. In return, every year, they give Christmas give aways to them. on 1999, when the Lipa Public Market was reconstructed, the business was transferred to No. 9 Rizal St., Barangay 3, Lipa City in front of building 3 grocery section of the public market. Due to economic crisis, the business experience different problems and struggles that test the faith of the owners. This did not lead to the closure of the business: instead, it inspired 2004 up to the present, Tommy and Doyet had expanding its market maintaining its loyal customers where it gained larger sales. Now having its own 3 storey building and more than ahundred employees, Tommy and Doyet Trading is already a major wholesaler/retailer in Lipa City of its major products, Vegetables and other support products such as rice, grocery, meat, plastic and frozen goods to a variety of corporate clients, households and retailers.
