We are deeply saddened to share that our dear community partner, Ma’am Marlene, has passed away on February 28, 2026.
Ma’am Marlene was the heart behind The Blushing Beekeeper, where her passion for stingless bees, wellness, and environmental stewardship flourished. Through her work, she not only offered products rooted in nature but also shared knowledge generously—teaching others about the importance of caring for their health and protecting the environment.
Within the OUgnayan Wednesdays and UPOU community, she was known for her gentle spirit and warm presence. She had a beautiful way of turning simple conversations into meaningful exchanges, often sharing stories of her beekeeping adventures and inspiring others to appreciate the quiet yet powerful work of stingless bees. Her dedication went beyond business—it was a life mission grounded in advocacy, education, and love for the planet.
Ma’am Marlene’s kindness, humility, and unwavering commitment to wellness and sustainability have left a lasting mark on all of us who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy lives on in every life she touched, every lesson she shared, and every small act of care she inspired.
We honor her memory with gratitude and will continue to uphold the values she championed—community, compassion, and care for our environment.
