Viva Pit Señor!!

Traslacion will be on January 17, 2025 - The Traslacion of Sto. Niño is a motorcade that carries the images of Sto. Niño and the Virgen de Guadalupe de Cebu from Basilica del Sto Niño to the National Shrine of St. Joseph in Mandaue City. The Traslacion is a part of the Fiesta Señor and Sinulog celebrations. The first Traslacion of Sto. Niño in Cebu City took place in 1989. The Traslacion is a way for the people of Mandaue City to deepen their connection with Sto. Niño and to celebrate their faith.

"Masareal or masa real" is a Filipino delicacy made from a mixture of finely-ground boiled peanuts and sugar. It is dried and cut into rectangular bars. It is traditionally sold wrapped in white paper. It originates from Mandaue, Cebu. The known makers of masareal in Mandaue are the Mana Acion's, Didangs and Ponsas brand. One of the known local delicacies originating from Mandaue City is the "tagaktak." It is a zingy, crunchy fritter made from a batter of sticky rice, coconut milk, eggs, water and sugar, added with sweet potato flour to make the fritter more delicious, and then fried in oil.
