Benteng Bigas, Meron Na! Program for Mirrhaj Grocery Store Corp. Employees

We are pleased to share that our employees have benefited from the Benteng Bigas, Meron Na! program through the support of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Ilocos Sur, the National Food Authority (NFA) Bantay, and the Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI). This allowed them to purchase rice at only ₱20 per kilo.

This initiative provides valuable relief to our workforce by making rice more affordable and ensuring access to this essential staple.

Present to witness the distribution of rice packs were Ms. Mary Antonette T. Avila, Chief Labor and Employment Officer (LEO), and Ms. Andrea Amor O. Mitre, Labor Relations Focal, both from the DOLE Ilocos Sur Field Office.

We fully support government programs like this that bring meaningful assistance to Filipino workers.

In compliance with COMELEC Resolution No. 11057, our store will implement liquor ban from May 11 (Sunday) to May 12, 2025 (Monday, Election Day).

The sale of intoxicating liquor shall still be allowed until the store closing today and will resume on May 13, 2025 (Tuesday).
