As thousands continue to converge in key areas of Metro Manila and other regions for today’s rally, the Philippine National Police (PNP) remains on full alert to ensure public safety and order. Field units report generally calm conditions as of this hour, with security and medical teams on standby to assist the public.
According to the latest report from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), as of 12:30 NN on Sunday, September 21, 2025, the total crowd across monitored sites has reached an estimated 12,209 participants. This includes about 8,000 individuals gathered at Luneta; 1,000 at the UP Oblation area; 700 each in Diliman and PPM; 500 along Taft Avenue; 250 in the vicinity of CRB Mendiola; 200 each at Liwasang Bonifacio and the EDSA Shrine; 160 at MRT stations; 100 at both DPWH Manila and the Southern Police District area; 70 near Quezon City Hall; 19 within the Northern Police District; 10 in Quiapo; and no significant crowd reported at Malacañang Palace.
In his statement, Acting Chief PNP Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said:
“The Philippine National Police reminds everyone joining today’s rally to exercise their rights with calm and discipline. We fully respect the people’s freedom to assemble and express their views, yet we call on all participants to remain peaceful, follow lawful instructions from authorities, and respect the rights of others.
We urge everyone to stay patient, avoid provocative language or actions, and cooperate with traffic marshals and police officers on site. Our goal is to keep the event safe and orderly for demonstrators, bystanders, and the wider community. The PNP stands ready to protect every citizen while ensuring that today’s gathering ends in peace and dignity.”
