LUNTIAN ang dahon pero sa puno, baka may tahimik na sumisipsip sa magiging ani. 🥹

Sinisipsip ng Brown Planthopper (BPH) ang katas ng palay. Sanhi rin ito ng hopperburn at maaaring magkalat ng virus tulad ng grassy at rugged stunt.

Rekomendadong gawin:
✅ Bantayan ang dami ng BPH at kumonsulta sa agricultural technologist kapag patuloy ang pagdami.
✅ Iwasan ang sobrang nitrogen; mas dumarami ang BPH kapag masyadong makapal ang dahon.
✅ Isagawa ang alternate wet and dry (AWD) na patubig upang mabawasan ang sobrang halumigmig sa puno.
Para sa susunod na taniman:
✅ Pumili ng barayting matibay sa BPH tulad ng PSB Rc2, Rc10, at NSIC Rc212, 222, 226, 298, at 300.
✅ Magsabay-sabay na taniman at pahingahin ang lupa nang hindi bababa sa isang buwan bago muling magtanim.
✅ Iwasan ang basta-bastang paggamit ng lason lalo na kung bata pa ang tanim upang dumami ang mga kaibigang kulisap na kumakain ng BPH.

: A study conducted at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Brigham and Women’s Hospital discovered that women who are exposed to nature live longer than those who are not.

Findings indicated that women who live surrounded by nature had a lower mortality rate lower by 12 percent compared to those who reside in areas with little to no vegetation or other greens.

| Ang Earwig ay kaibigan ng magsasaka dahil tumutulong itong bawasan ang peste sa palayan.

Sa gabi, gumagala ang earwig sa mga dahon at tangkay ng palay para maghanap ng maliliit na insekto at itlog ng peste. Kapag may nakita, ginagamit nito ang sipit sa hulihan para hawakan at pigilan ang galaw ng biktima. Pagkatapos, kinakain nito ang peste gamit ang matitibay nitong panga.

Kinakain ng earwig ang:
▫️ itlog at uod ng stem borer at leafhoppers
▫️ maliliit na uod at caterpillars

👉 Dahil dito, nababawasan ang peste sa palayan kahit hindi gumamit ng kemikal.
