🌱Benchmarking and Farm Walk/Cross Visit🌱

The AMIA Village Pontevedra Farmers Association warmly welcomed the 50 members of the Estancia AMIA Village Farmers Association during their Benchmarking and Farm Walk/Cross Visit at the AMIA site.

The activity highlighted the sharing of knowledge, experiences, and best farming practices through the farm walk and interaction among members. Present during the activity were Estancia AMIA Technical Staff Ma’am Cherie Rizalyn Mina and LGU Focal Person Ma’am Glory Ann S. Dumaran.

This meaningful activity strengthened partnership and camaraderie among AMIA farmers associations in promoting sustainable and resilient farming communities.🌾💚

🌾 5-Day Seminar on Leadership, Enterprise Development & Cooperative Readiness. 🌾

🗓️ May 11–15, 2026
📍 Maribert Inland Resort, Pontevedra, Capiz

Ten (10) officers and members of the AMIA Village Pontevedra Farmers Association participated in the 5-day seminar on Gender-Responsive Leadership, Enterprise Development and Management, Cooperative Readiness, and Financial Risk Resilience for AMIA Village Farmers Associations Transitioning into Agri-Cooperatives conducted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The training was facilitated by Ma’am Connie G. Hina and Ma’am Thelma R. Paris, together with Ma’am Carmelita Fantilanan, AMIA Project Leader, and assisted by AMIA Technical Staffs Ma’am Jineveb Siva, Sir Rodolfo Grana Jr. and Ma’am Cherie Rizalyn Mina. Participants from Numancia and San Lorenzo associations also joined the activity.

Throughout the 5-day seminar, members gained valuable learnings on leadership, cooperative development, enterprise management, teamwork, and financial resiliencehelping strengthen their knowledge and readiness toward becoming a sustainable agri-cooperative.

🏆🌾 Award of Recognition Received! 🌾🏆

The AMIA Villages Pontevedra Farmers Association proudly received the Outstanding Farmers Association Award during the celebration of the 43rd Farmers and Fisherfolk’s Day held as part of the Kaguyumanon Festival.

With the theme:
✨ “Kapisan sang Kaguyamanon, Gintunaan sang Pangabuhi nga Malig-on” ✨

This recognition reflects the dedication, unity, and hard work of our officers and members in promoting sustainable agriculture and strengthening the livelihood of our farming community. 💚🌱

🌱Ocular Visit & OJT Planning
📍 AMIA Training Center, Pontevedra, Capiz

The AMIA Village Pontevedra Farmers Association welcomed faculty from Capiz State University – Pontevedra Campus for an ocular visit at the training center AMIA VILLAGES .

During the visit, they meet with the Association President to discuss possible activities and hands-on learning opportunities for 1st year BS Agriculture students who will conduct their OJT at the center.

This marks a strong step toward collaboration between AMIA and CapSU in supporting practical agricultural education and community development.🌾💚

🗓️KADIWA ng Pangulo & Fiesta Market Participation🏪
📍 Pontevedra, Capiz

The AMIA Village Pontevedra Farmers Association participated in the KADIWA ng Pangulo in Pontevedra, Capiz, in line with the opening of the Kaguyuman Religious Fiesta.

During the activity, members showcased and sold locally produced products such as lakatan banana, black rice, and Bokashi, all available at the AMIA Training Center. 🌱

This initiative highlights the association’s commitment to promoting local products, supporting farmers’ livelihoods, and strengthening community based enterprise.💚🌾

🌱 Another milestone for AMIA VILLAGE! 🌱
Mr. Allan Dalida and Mrs. Bernadeth Dalida purchased 20 sacks of Bokashi for sugarcane production, with free technical support on proper application and usage. 🌱 💚

This achievement reflects the growing trust in our organic products and the dedication of our farmers in promoting sustainable agriculture. 💚

Sa tulong ng Department of Agriculture – Climate Resilient Agriculture Office, naitampok ang mga tagumpay ng Adaptation and Mitigation Initiative in Agriculture (AMIA) mula sa paggamit ng climate risk-based decision support tools hanggang sa gender-responsive na mga gawain sa komunidad at agrikultura.

Makikita rin ang paggamit ng mga magsasaka, kabilang ang Binujosan Farmer Association sa Pontevedra, sa makabagong teknolohiya tulad ng babuyang walang amoy, organic vegetable farming, at Bokashi fertilizer. Layunin nito na mapataas ang kita at mapanatili ang pangangalaga sa kalikasan.

🌾🔧 New Intervention Received! 🌾🔧

Another support intervention has been successfully provided to the AMIA Village Pontevedra Farmers Association through the DA Region Rice Program (SRI) the turnover of 2 units of pelletizer machines.

This equipment will help farmers produce their own feeds, reduce production costs, and improve efficiency in livestock management. 🌱

A big step forward in strengthening sustainable and climate resilient farming practices in our community. 💚
