Good Food Community

Good Food Community We're about growing a sustainable society that nourishes everyone—you, the farmers, the land and generations to come through Community Shared Agriculture.

How do we bring fresh and ethically sourced organic produce from smallholder farmers to your kitchen? By sharing in a commitment. Your commitment to eat healthy meets our farmers' commitment to grow nutritious food-- and together we grow a sustainable food system. Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) is an alternative distribution system where consumers, via farmshare subscriptions, are invited to p

ay upfront for a share of the harvest, thereby assuring the producer a steady demand and price. Consumers get a weekly supply of seasonal fresh organic produce and farmers can focus on cultivating a natural biodiversity in their farm ecosystems without worrying about market risk. Beyond economics, CSA is about reconnecting people, land and community. If we can connect socially aware city-dwellers with small holder farmers in a re-localized food economy, we will make farming more sustainable, conserve and protect our soil resources and build the health of our communities. With your support and participation, we are growing a new social change model that can be replicated all over the Philippines and the world. Be part of our Good Food Community today! We at Good Food Community condemn in the strongest possible terms the recent military incursion in Negros that led to the gruesome massacre and grave violations of human rights and International Humanitarian Law of 19 individuals, and the forced evacuation of more than 653 residents from their homes in Brgy. Salamanca and Brgy. San Jose, in Toboso, Negros Occidental.

Military operations started on April 19, with the forcible evacuation of 168 households the next day, April 20. This ended in a confrontation that killed many civilians, and the victims, many of whom remain unidentified, include farmer Roel Sobillo, UP Diliman political-science student Alyssa Alano, and journalist RJ Nichole Ledesma.

We demand an end to the military occupation of our countryside!
