𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 | 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗯𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁

He lost his sight in combat.
But not his purpose. Not his courage. Not his will to serve.

At the 2ID Digital and Social Media Summit 2026 held at Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal from Wednesday to Thursday, April 29 to 30, Major Jerome Jacuba, also known as “Captain Blind,” stood not just as a guest but as a reminder of what service truly means.

“Para sa’yo, ano ang tunay na pagmamahal sa bayan?
Sa akin, ang tunay na patriotism ay kahit sugatan ka na, kahit may nawala sa’yo, patuloy ka pa ring naghahanap ng paraan para maglingkod.
Katulad ng tunay na kaibigan, handang magsakripisyo, hindi sumusuko, at naniniwalang darating ang tagumpay.”

His words carry more than meaning. They carry truth.

Because there are people who bear wounds we may never see, yet still choose to stand, to serve, and to move forward, not by sight, but by faith.

Toboso LGU Acts Against Insurgency, Declares CPP-NPA-NDF Persona Non Grata

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Toboso, Negros Occidental has formally declared the Communist Party of the Philippines New People’s Army National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) as persona non grata within its jurisdiction. This decision was made through Resolution No. 077, Series of 2026, during the 32nd Regular Session held on April 28.

In the resolution, the LGU emphasized that the CPP-NPA-NDF, collectively referred to by government authorities as Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs), have long been associated with acts of violence and armed insurgency across the country. Their presence and activities, the resolution noted, have led to widespread disruption causing the loss of lives, destruction of property, and hindering local development initiatives.

By declaring these groups unwelcome in Toboso, the municipality seeks to safeguard peace, security, and progress for its residents. Copies of the resolution will be furnished to the Office of the President, the Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, and other concerned agencies for appropriate action and coordination.
