Today, both men and women continued the field work for the LAWA at BINHI Project with unity, dedication, and teamwork. However, due to light rain with lightning and thunder, we decided to dismiss the work early as a safety precaution.

To ensure everyoneโ€™s safety, we looked for safe shelter before heading home. Work may pause for the day, but the commitment of every member remains strong.

Day 01 of 15 โ€“ Actual Farm Work Begins ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’ช

Today marks the first day of our 15-day actual farm work under the Lawa at Binhi Project. All 45 project beneficiaries worked together in digging our small pond reservoir and future tilapia pond.

Women and men worked diligently, showing unity, determination, and teamwork on this first day of farm work. Though physically tiring, it was truly fulfilling to see everyone helping one another for the success of the project.

We also applied what we learned during the seminar, particularly on the engineering aspect of the farm, proper pond layout, water flow, and preparation techniques. It is inspiring to see knowledge from training being turned into actual community action.

Step by step, we are building not only a farm, but also hope, sustainability, and stronger community cooperation. ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŸ

Day 03 of the Lawa at Binhi Project Training at Macarandan Elementary School together with the DRRM team. Participants actively joined the Hazard Hunter Workshop where farmers and community members identified possible hazards and discussed proper mitigation and preparedness measures for safer and disaster-resilient communities.

A productive and meaningful learning experience towards protecting lives, livelihoods, and the environment. ๐ŸŒฑโ›‘๏ธ

Todayโ€™s topic focused on ๐——๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฅ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ธ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜ (๐——๐—ฅ๐—ฅ๐— ) conducted by 10 dedicated personnel from the Sipalay City DRRMO. The training highlighted the importance of preparedness, safety awareness, and community resilience during natural calamities and emergencies.

This activity equipped our farmer beneficiaries with valuable knowledge and practical skills to protect their families, livelihoods, and communities during times of disaster.

Day 02 of 20 โ€“ Lawa at Binhi Project Training ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿง…๐Ÿฅฌ

Todayโ€™s training at Sitio Macarandan, Camindangan, Sipalay City focused on Crop Production and Vegetable Production, with special discussions on Onion Production and the use of alternative organic fertilizers and natural pesticides. ๐ŸŒฑ

Our 45 farmer-beneficiaries learned practical and sustainable farming techniques that can help increase production while reducing farming costs through organic and environment-friendly methods.

This initiative continues to empower our farmers with knowledge and skills towards food sustainability, healthier crops, and better livelihood opportunities for every family in the community. ๐Ÿ’ช

Thank you to the resource speakers, Sipalay City Agriculture Office, Office of Provincial Agriculture, DSWD, and all participants for making Day 02 another meaningful and successful learning experience.
