RFWU is equally recognizing that there are many different types of smallholder farmers particularly women involved in pulses production and value chains in the rain-dependent Potohar region in Punjab Pakistan. Pulse crops have traditionally been identified as women's crops in many communities and and are helping women by providing them quality seeds and agronomic services to grow more organic pulses, produce management and storage, packaging and market opportunities to get good income.
