Our Dorper sheep admin team has been hard at work getting all the farm paperwork in order, with help from our Indian Runner ducks, chickens, and plenty of farm teamwork! 🦆🐔

We’re currently chatting to CTT to finalize our shipping price list, making it easier and more transparent for everyone when ordering our delicious gem squash. 📦

We can’t wait to harvest and send out our gems to you! 💎Fresh from our fields and delivered straight to your doorstep. 🚪

🌼Exciting things are happening in the gem squash patch! 🌼

We absolutely love this time of year when the plants burst into beautiful yellow flowers and the promise of a great harvest starts to appear.

Even more exciting, we’re beginning to spot tiny baby gem squash forming among the blooms! 💚 Every little gem is a reminder that harvest season is getting closer.

It’s amazing to watch these little vegetables grow day by day, and we can’t wait to see them develop into the delicious gem squash that many of you look forward to each year.

We’ll keep sharing updates as our gems grow. For now, we’re enjoying the flowers, the sunshine, and the excitement of another season taking shape. ☀️🌱

As a small family-run farm, everything we do is done by us. From the daily farm work to preparing products, managing orders, and keeping our page updated, it can be very tiring and time-consuming at times. Our sweet corn is also coming up very well! 🌽☀️

So far, we’ve managed to protect it from the javalis (wild boar), which is no small task! 🐗We’re keeping a close eye on things and are delighted with how it’s growing.

We can’t wait to harvest these beautiful cobs and enjoy some fresh sweet corn on the braai with a side of gem squash, soaking up the sunshine and celebrating the rewards of the season. 🌿😋

Here’s hoping the javalis continue to stay away!

Our gem squash are doing incredibly well and the patch is starting to look a little like Jurassic Park! 🌱🦖 The plants have really taken off, and it’s exciting to see them thriving.

Dev is still supervising operations from afar while he continues to recover, but he’s hoping to be back getting his hands dirty again in the next few days. In the meantime, he’s keeping a close eye on things and making sure everything stays on track.

We’re looking forward to seeing what the next few weeks bring! 💚

We’re working hard to become better known here in Portugal, and today we finally received some of our advertising goodies! 🎉

Keep an eye out for our car as we’re out and about in the cities, around the farm, and at local markets. We’re excited to spread the word about what we do and connect with even more people in our community.

We absolutely love how this turned out and can’t wait to show it off! 🚜✨

Our gem squash plants are absolutely LOVING this weather 🌱☀️

They’re growing super well and getting HUGE!!! We can hardly keep up with how fast they’re taking over the field😄

Our first batch of lettuce is officially ready — and wow are they looking AMAZING?! 😻🥬✨

🚜 FARM UPDATE 🚜

On Monday there was a little accident involving the farmer… and unfortunately Dev has injured his leg. The doctor has ordered STRICT bed rest for the next week. (Yes, apparently “just checking the squash quickly” does NOT count as resting 😅)

Anyone who knows Dev will know this is going to be the real challenge. Sitting still while the gem squash, corn, and animals are out there living their best lives? Nearly impossible. We’ve already caught him trying to “supervise” from the window and planning farm jobs from bed like some sort of injured farm foreman. 🐑🌽

Thankfully he’ll be okay, just needing time to heal up properly. Accidents happen — even on the farm where every day is an adventure.

Wishing our stubborn farmer a speedy recovery before he starts trying to sneak back onto the tractor! 🚜😂
