Happy new year everyone! It's the start of a new year, start of the everyday hum dum again!

The best thing we can get out of it is pause to recollect, give thanks and make new aspirations.

I want to thank everyone for dropping by in the evenings to pick up your favourite fruit and the chats we shared!

Durian selling is a trading business and it's a stressful undertaking. Afraid that the quality is not good, afraid that price is not competitive, afraid that some not so good parts are missed and kena complained, afraid that stock is stuck! It's not a business my personality would want to be in, cos there's too little I can control, yet stakes my personal reputation on.

The last few weeks is finally something I'm having more satisfaction from - selling durians from my own farm with a somewhat better harvest, after toiling for 6 years. Although the favourite MSW of most people are not fruiting yet, at least I have some old heritage trees to offer and I can differentiate myself from others: non-pesticides and from my own farm. No other durian stall in Sg can declare the same.

Season in my farm should be over in a week plus. I'll have to feed them with nutrients to recover from fruit-bearing and I have to learn more techniques of organic farming to give all of you safe, wholesome, and gratifying, biteful joys!

I hope all of you will also have the energy to enrich this new year. And when u are out of fuel, u know I'll have your durian cravings covered!

You can share about the quaint little durian stall in your neighbourhood that has its own durian farm which insist on non-pesticides farming! 😉

I think that's something worth talking about while tasting some uncommon organic durians together, right? 🤓

Hi All,

many of you has been asking me for farm visit and this season happens to be school holiday, I can make time.

Next Monday (22Dec) is off day at the stall so I don't need to rush back to sell durians. I'm thinking to try out being a durian farm tour guide for a day.

My car can take 5 passengers comfortably. (2 more places left currently)

Rough itinerary goes:

630am set off from Fernvale CC.

- Breakfast at JB
- Ah Sa Farm tour - collect durians, pluck fruits, eat.
- Lunch outside
- Shopping/Spa/ other suggestions by consensus
- Dinner
- Back to Sg

+ Meals will all be in local's haunt (actually my frequented places), not usual Sg tourist places
+ Durians and fruits eaten in farm all FOC. Dabao then charge.
+ Can sit at back of pickup to experience a fun bumpy ride through palm plantation.
+ There will be mosquitoes. Homemade mosquito repellent will be provided.
+ Has proper toilet in the farm
+ S$120 per pax. Covers transport throughout, 3 meals, durians in farm.
+ Can be in JB as late as u want (by consensus), then I bring us back.

Another option for those who wants to drive yourself in - we'll meet near the farm around 930am and take my pickup in. Out of the farm, you are on your own. S$30 per pax.
