The Fishwives is owned and operated by Rebecca Forwood. The business started in Hong Kong in 1992 by her mother and aunt (the original fishwives). In 1997 Rebecca took over the business expanding into Singapore in 2002.

Here at The Fishwives our passion has always been about healthy unadulterated, sustainable clean fresh food. In this modern age of additives, chemicals and genetic modification,

it is not easy to find food that does not contain any of these nasties. With ongoing research, we have found products that tick all the boxes when it comes to healthy and 'clean' food and bring them to you in both Singapore and Hong Kong. The Fishwives' ethos is to always have Clean, Green, No Nasties Sustainably Grown Products. Our product list is constantly expanding and now in addition to NZ King Salmon, there is also line caught snapper, pasture fed Angus Beef and pasture fed lamb all from New Zealand. There is also delicious fresh barramundi from one of the best fishing areas close to Singapore where the currents are strong and bring a constant supply of pristine, oxygen-rich sea water. All products imported by The Fishwives are hormone, antibiotic, mercury, steriod, vaccine, growth enhancer and GM Free. NZ King Salmon has been certified Halal and all unflavoured NZ King Salmon have a Kosher and Pareve certification endorsed by Rabbi Samuel Altschul.

Zesty, herby, and ready for the oven 🍋🌿
Our butterfly chicken gets a simple marinade of fresh lemon, rosemary, garlic, and olive oil — easy to prep, big on flavour.

How to cook:
Roast at 200°C for about 40–45 minutes, skin side up, until golden and cooked through. Baste once or twice for extra juiciness. You can also grill it over medium heat for a lovely smoky finish.

How to serve:
Rest for 10 minutes, then carve and serve with roasted potatoes, a crisp green salad, or warm crusty bread to soak up all those lemony juices. Perfect for an easy family dinner or a relaxed weekend meal.
