Mama Never Left

Standing at the entrance of the hall of Vine Memorial Secondary School, I was clueless of what next will become of my.
Mama with so much hope assured me to be patient that someone from her church had got us covered.
Few moments later there walked in an angel in human form.

He was tall, black and adultly radiant, he said to my mama, 'Kadie ya this sixty thousand, buy some books for am'
That was how I went through the process and admitted to JSS 1/3. The rest remain a history up till today.

Hurriedly, I took my bath, Mama urged me to wear my school uniform, as we were heading for an interview at the Methodist Girls High School, I was like mama "you sure say den go take me with aggregate 20. Yes bo! She confirmed, "me pastor say den go take you" as usual, off we went.

As I approached the school gate, I was super frightening, I needed help, I needed someone to carry me through the different streams. So Mama introduced me to a beautiful dark skin lady with a bright smile, who welcomed me and persuaded me to gracefully opt for the art streams program, due to my result and subject pursued.
By then, what did I even know, but I was guided by my Mama and the beautiful dark skin lady. The rest again remain history.

As usual Mama never left even in her absence. ☺
My leavers service was great with Friends around but I reluctantly refused to take a photo. I carried my grumpy self home, with so much anger, cause Mama wasn't present. While all my friends parents were around, even though I was sad at a point.
I struggled home, all by myself.

However, Mama sited me far up the hill and created a welcoming show for me.

As I approached closer she spread her wrappers all over the ground and started to dance. She created a whole scene, by carrying me on her back. She called out the neighbors to help her celebrate her daughter as she had completed her schooling. I had no option but to be cheerful.

Mama Never left ☺

Fellow sisters from the Great Freetown Secondary school for Girls (FSSG) I bring you greetings from the 13 decade of Methodist Girls High School (MGHS).

We are elated to see you accomplish a mile stone of Centennial devotion and successes. No joy greater than seeing your beloved school reached a heartwarming age.

We join you wonderful ladies to celebrate each and every bit of your celebration and we asked the 12 and 13 decades to spice it up cause old bonds are not as energetic as you are.

As we celebrate with you, we want you beautiful ladies to know that we ladies from the charismatic Wilberforce Village does not banter words with celebrants because we were thought decorum, we understand the purpose of time and we were raised to celebrate others too.
That is why you will never see a METHODOGA criticizing or jesting your presence.

Yes we see your efforts to make a beautiful celebration, we see your ground breaking rehabilitation and construction, we see all your hard works. They are beautiful by the way and we are proud to call you our sisters.

But please don't remind us of our mistakes, as Methodoga. Remember we entrusted our celebration in the hands of our executive, whom we deem fit to execute a well meaning campaign. But as the saying goes "don't judge a book by it cover"
As at now, we have harken to the voice of the Bishop. Everything we have let it slide.

So our dear sisters, let your joy continue to lighten every room you find yourself, celebrate with grand style. Don't minimize your propensity for anyone "not even the dove cut school" 😂 😂 😂 they are noisy women.

Show them that you are the only school with upper and lower 6 even in the Era of 6334. Show them that you are the only school to maintain a boarding home till present. Show them your uniform is unique and not a cheap poplin 😂 😂
"Tell them if e easy, cam run am"

Lastly, I see vibrant ladies emanating from the great FSSG, women of substance like Eastina Taylor, Mamadi Gobeh, Saptieu Saccoh, Emma Sombo Banya, Joan Bull and many more.
Please ladies, do not dim your light for any man in the room, dress up and show up, speak up and deliver. We need a female president and you ladies are filling those space. Keep pushing. Your sisters are in support of you.

Do have a wonderful celebration and let's play the game as usual.
