🌱 Bisha Cagaaran Brings Greener Future to Darmooley Primary and Secondary School ( Hiliwaa)🌳
Today, Bisha Cagaaran Tree Planting Initiative donated and planted trees at Darmooley Primary and Secondary School as part of its ongoing commitment to creating greener and healthier school environments.
Many schools across Somalia have very few trees, despite the country’s hot climate.
Planting trees in school compounds can make an important difference by providing natural shade, cooler surroundings, cleaner air, and protection from dust.
As these newly planted trees grow, we hope they will create a greener, fresher, and more comfortable environment for the students, teachers, and the wider school community.
Trees in schools provide many benefits.
They can help reduce heat around classrooms and playgrounds, improve air quality, reduce soil erosion, provide habitats for birds and other wildlife, and make school grounds more beautiful and welcoming.
They can also serve as a practical learning opportunity, helping students understand the importance of protecting the environment and responding to climate change.
Today’s school-greening activity was led by Mr. Abdirahman, Coordinator of Bisha Cagaaran, with the goal of encouraging schools and communities to take part in environmental conservation.
Planting a tree is only the beginning.
We encourage the students, teachers, and community members of Darmooley Primary and Secondary School to care for these trees, water them regularly, and protect them so they can grow and benefit future generations.
🌳 A greener school means a healthier learning environment.
Together, we can make Somalia’s schools greener—one tree at a time. 🌱
