PUBLIC STATEMENT REGARDING THE DECISION ON THE CPT 2ND STATUS.

Dear Mighty Ciec Manyiel & the Public

Allow me to address you our esteemed community of Ciec Manyiel and all stakeholders regarding our recent decision to dissolve the entire leadership team for the ongoing second edition of the tournament.

First and foremost, we extend our sincere and heartfelt apology to the people of mighty Ciec Manyiel with whom my decision has abundantly hurt. We acknowledge that our earlier decision caused concern, uncertainty, and disappointment within the community we are entrusted to serve. As a leader, I take full responsibility and regret the manner in which the decision was reached and communicated.

We would also like to express our profound appreciation to the community of Ciec Manyiel namely our chiefs, our elders, our youth leaders, our football Association leadership, our intellectuals in their different categories, our well-wishers and friends, the leadership of BCPT for the remarkable role you have played since the announcement was made. Your swift response, unity, constructive feedback, and willingness to engage with us respectfully demonstrate true ownership of the tournament and a deep commitment to peace, unity, and progress. It is this strong sense of community responsibility that guided us to pause and listen ultimately to your call and concerns.

Therefore, on my behalf and on behalf of the entire leadership of the Ciec Peace Tournament Board of Directors, Executives, and all the sub-committees, I wish to declare our previous decision reconsidered & reversed.
Following deep reflection and constructive engagement we have had with all our people, being chiefs, youth leaders, intellectuals and elders and in addition to the commitment from the well-wishers who happened to be non-citizens of Ciec Manyiel and love to see Ciec United and progress. Your voices mattered. Your concern was heard. Your engagement made the difference.

As a result, we reaffirm our commitment to working together with the existing leadership structures, strengthening collaboration, and ensuring that the second edition of the Ciec Peace Tournament is delivered successfully and inclusively.

Going forward, we promise the following:
1. To uphold inclusive and consultative decision-making involving key community stakeholders
2. To strengthen transparency and communication in all matters concerning the tournament
3. To preserve the unity, peace, and cultural pride that this tournament represents
4. To continue building the tournament as a platform for harmony, youth engagement, and community development

We remain committed to serving the interests of Ciec Manyiel with integrity, respect, and accountability.
Let us move forward togetherโ€”stronger, united, and focused on the shared vision of peace and progress.

Warm regards,

My fellow citizens and members of the SPLM,

Today, I speak with concern and honesty about the way some people are treated during SPLM events. A political movement becomes stronger when it unites people, respects supporters, and gives equal opportunity to everyone. But when people are ignored, disrespected, or treated unfairly during events, it creates disappointment and anger among the citizens.

Many loyal supporters attend these gatherings with hope and commitment, expecting unity and inclusion. Unfortunately, when favoritism, poor organization, or discrimination takes place, it pushes people away instead of bringing them closer. This kind of treatment can slowly create frustration, division, and eventually more opposition groups.

A strong party does not fear criticism. A strong party listens to its people, corrects mistakes, and values every supporter regardless of status, tribe, or background. SPLM must remember that leadership is about service, respect, and unity.

If the party continues to neglect the feelings and concerns of ordinary people during its events, many citizens may lose trust and seek alternative voices. Peace, unity, and progress can only be achieved when everyone feels respected and included.

Let us work together to build a political culture that welcomes all people equally and strengthens national unity for the future of South Sudan.

Thank you.
