“ชันโรง” (Stingless Bee) **ตัว**เหมือนผึ้งขนาดจิ๋ว ไม่มีเหล็กใน ต่อยได้เหมือนกันแต่ไม่ทำให้เจ็บปวด ชันโรงเป็นตัวบ่งชี้ความสมบูรณ์ของสภาพแวดล้อม ที่ไหนมีเคมีที่นั้นไม่มีชันโรง! ชันโรงจอมขยันเก็บเกสร 80% และเก็บน้ำหวานเพียง 20% เท่านั้น จึงเป็นตัวช่วยสำคัญของการผสมพันธุ์พืชในระบบนิเวศนั้นๆ

เราเพิ่งย้ายบ้านชันโรงในสวนเพื่อเพิ่มขนาดรังและจำนวนประชากร ตั้งแต่ที่เรามีชันโรงในสวนอัตราการติดดอกออกผลก็เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างเห็นได้ชัด ส่วนน้ำหวานจากชันโรงยังเก็บได้ปีละครั้งก่อนเพราะต้องรอให้เหล่าตัวขยันคุ้นชินและวางใจกับบ้านใหม่ของพวกมัน

“ต้นกล้วย” เป็นที่รู้กันดีว่าเป็นพืชที่มีประโยชน์ตั้งแต่หน่อ ลำต้น ผล ไปจนถึงใบ ปลีกล้วยเป็นสิ่งที่ชันโรงในสวนของเราโปรดปรานมากที่สุด! ที่ไหนปลูกต้นกล้วย ดินตรงนั้นจะชุ่มมมมมฉ่ำ! อีกทั้งยังแบ่งปันร่มเงาให้กับไม้เล็กที่ไม่ชอบแดดจัดอีกด้วย สวนของเรานำหน่อของกล้วยที่ผุดงอกออกมามากเกินไปใช้ทำเป็นฮอร์โมนหน่อกล้วยเพื่อกลับมาใช้บำรุงพืชพรรณในสวน
