Meet Farmer S. Vidal from Happy Farms!!!!!
This is the first step to our delicious 😋 dried orange slices. Farmer S. Vidal aka “Happy” took me on tour of his citrus 🍊 orchard south of Toco in beautiful Sande Grande. Happy Farms borders the Aripo plains and its bursting with plant and animal life. Farmer “Happy” (3rd Generation farmer) has transformed this space into a thriving combination of Citrus Varietals, local mangoes, vegetables and I can’t forget “Bessie” (for another story)…… there are Cows !!! A lot of them!!!! Today we are having Pineapple Oranges 🍊 as this is the first harvest since being planted a few years ago. Bright green skins with yellow highlights, deep yellow color with thin pits. Contains a lot of juice with flavors of tropical oranges, pineapple and passion fruit.
