Salam & Selamat Sejahtera,
With a heavy heart, I must reveal the painful truth – I’ve lost control over MKIT@Neihu. The partnership agreement for MKIT@Neihu was a fraud. Unfortunately, the individual initially designated as a mere 20% partner now legally owns MKIT (a local Taiwanese, non-Muslim).
Previously, I was the sole owner of Malaysia Kitchen in Taiwan. For the Neihu restaurant, I decided to take on a partnership for capital infusion, business growth, and workload sharing.
I discovered my business was taken away from me, and I had no power when I got kicked out from my own restaurant just before Chinese New Year. I was not allowed to enter MKIT after dispute.
The Secom Security came and told me to stand outside. By law, MKIT does not belong to me. I truly have lost my majority power and ownership.
The truth is, the trust for this individual has been lost.
However, for the sake of the business and staff's wellness, I had to patch things up and continue to open during CNY.
I had enough. I no longer want to make money from the business that has been stolen from me until I get my rights back. This individual (& his fiancee)who never been to Malaysia yet, they had the audacity to kick me out and to continue without me (I am the heart and soul of Malaysia Kitchen in Taiwan). They had the audacity to ask for my self-made Malaysian cuisine recipes. They had the audacity to still continue using my FACE all over Malaysia Kitchen restaurant & social media after barred me entering MKIT. My FACE is the brand of MKIT, and it is being used without my consent.
I believe most of MKIT followers in Taiwan know my story & journey. For those who don't, I come from very humble beginnings. I started MKIT with small beginnings, and I worked for everything. I came to Taiwan as a full-time student back in 2014. I worked various part-time jobs, including cooking and cleaning in the kitchen for restaurants & cafes until the day I started my own Malaysian restaurant business in Taiwan. Business building is hard, especially building it from scratch alone in a foreign country. I am still grateful to be surrounded by friends and family who believe in me and support my business.
Malaysia Kitchen in Taiwan (MKIT) was founded in 2019. A humble beginning of MKIT line closed group order meals to University students & lecturers in Taipei City. Students from National Chengchi University (NCCU), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST), & 國立臺灣大學 National Taiwan University were the ones ordering my 'Nasi Lemak' every week. Each day, I went to a different university to deliver my 'Nasi Lemak'.
Every week, I opened a line group for the students to order their meals, and I personally waited for them to come pick up their meals at the university main entrance. After that, the food order became too overwhelming, and I couldn't do it by myself anymore; that's when the proper Malaysia Kitchen started. From a line group order to a small kitchen-based restaurant.
In addition to my dedication to MKIT, I've always taken pride in promoting my Malay heritage. As a minority in Taiwan, I find joy in sharing my unique journey and cultural background with the community. Despite the challenges, I love narrating my story, illustrating the richness of Malaysian cuisine, and fostering a sense of connection with those who appreciate diverse culinary experiences. Recognizing the limited options for Halal food in Taiwan, particularly for Muslim residents and travelers, MKIT has been honored to cater to their dietary needs. We've even extended our reach by accepting corporate orders from Brunei, Indonesia, and Malaysia offices in Taiwan, reinforcing our commitment to offering a taste of home and creating a welcoming space for all.
Being a Muslim myself, I am happy to serve and provide Halal meals requested from all walks of life. As the only Halal Malaysian restaurant in Taiwan, registered under the Chinese Muslim Association (CMA), MKIT held a special place for the Muslim community in Taiwan.
This journey began with a dream & passion; I left Malaysia, ventured into Taiwan alone, and birthed Malaysia Kitchen in Taiwan (MKIT). The betrayal cuts deep, but my passion, talent, and love for MKIT remain unshaken. I am still standing strong and committed to overcoming this adversity.
I still consider myself very lucky. Regardless of MKIT's establishment in Taipei City; from previously known as Mooka (2017), to the second floor small shop, to Fuxing South Road, and recently to Neihu; MKIT's loyal customers still keep track with us. They follow MKIT wherever MKIT goes, and MKIT is still growing in terms of customers based. The one thing that makes me happy and proud is to see new customers become repeated customers 'makan' at MKIT. Your continued support is my guiding light.
If MKIT business is still going on at this moment, that is not me, itu bukan saya.
Lastly, I admit my mistake as I trusted a friend. I trusted this individual before confirming and signing the partnership agreement. I was blind to let my own hard work slip into someone else's hands. What happened is truly a heartbreak I never anticipated, and I apologize for letting everyone down.
Saya tetap berjuang untuk MKIT. Semoga perjuangan ini dipermudahkan.
Saya memohon maaf kerana mengecewakan semua orang.
Do Remember me,

Salam & Selamat Sejahtera,
Nur Adibah Adammi
