If you have your goats, but their feed, water and pens are all on the ground, you're exposing them to many problems. They end up eating dirt or containated feeds which can lead to infections and poor health.
This is why you need proper outside feeding structures.
With raised feeders, your goats can feed from clean, protected structures. Their feed stays safe even when it rains, the goats can continue eating once the rain stops. It also helps prevent goats from urinating in their feed.
This is especially impontant for farmers who supplent their goats with pellets, mineral blocks and other feeds.
Remember, goat farming is a business of multiplication. If you start with 30goats, the goal should be to come back after a few months and find 50 or 60 .
You need to put systems in place that protect your goats and support their growth and multiplication.
