🌶️🏆 WE ARE HONORED TO RECEIVE THE GOLDEN CHILE AWARD! 🏆🌶️

Last week, we traveled to Albuquerque and were honored to receive the Golden Chile Award through the New Mexico Grown Coalition! ❤️ We are incredibly grateful to be recognized for the work we do at A & M Meat Processing and for the opportunity to be part of something that makes such a difference in our communities.

But did you know this program even exists?! 👀

The New Mexico Grown program is an amazing initiative supported by our state legislators who dedicate funding to help schools, senior centers, daycares, and other organizations purchase fresh, locally grown and raised food! 🇺🇸🌱

This program helps put REAL FOOD on the tables of our children and seniors while supporting New Mexico farmers, ranchers, and small businesses. It’s a WIN-WIN for our communities! ❤️

Currently, the Tularosa Senior Center and Sacramento Mountain Senior Center purchase meat from us, and we LOVE being able to help provide local food to the people in our own backyard! 🥩❤️

Our goal is to see even MORE organizations in our area get involved! We would absolutely LOVE to see our local schools purchasing from us so we can help provide our kids with locally raised meat and give them access to real, nutritious food.

🌶️ Imagine the impact if more of our schools, senior centers, and community programs supported local producers!

More money stays in our local economy.
More support goes to our farmers and ranchers.
More fresh, local food reaches our children and seniors.
And our communities grow stronger together! 🇺🇸

We encourage our local schools, administrators, senior centers, and community organizations to look into the New Mexico Grown program and see how they can participate!

And to our legislators who continue to support programs like this, THANK YOU! These programs matter, and we need more people to know about them!

We are proud to be a part of New Mexico agriculture, proud to support our local communities, and proud to bring locally raised meat to the people who call this place home. ❤️🥩

We will be here tomorrow we are out of freezer room you can’t even walk in there and out of crates Next week is going to be rough if we don’t get some meat picked up. Our freezers are stocked with pork from the amazing kids who showed and raised pigs for the Otero County Fair! ❤️🐷

These kids put in so much hard work raising and feeding their animals, and we’re proud to support them! Come on in, grab some pork, and help support our local fair kids! 💪❤️

🦌 WE’RE AHEAD OF SCHEDULE THIS YEAR! 🎉

For once, we’re actually ahead this game season, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🙌

We hired 12 employees specifically for game season, and we have built an absolutely AMAZING crew! 💪 We’re currently processing around 25 animals a day, and our turnaround time is less than a week! That means you won’t have to wait long to get your animal back this year! 🦌🥩

I’ll be honest, taking on this many employees was a little scary. We’ve worried about whether we would have enough work to keep everyone busy and employed throughout the season and with that many employees mistakes always happen unfortunately we are humans. But YOU GUYS have continued to show up, tell us if there was a mistakes so we can fix it,support our business, and keep our crew working, and we can’t thank you enough! ❤️

Every animal brought to us, every referral, every kind word, and every bit of support makes a difference. We’re a family-owned business, and having the opportunity to grow, create jobs, and serve our hunting community means more to us than you know!

📢 NOW HIRING — YOUNG ADULT / STUDENT INTERNSHIP PAID!!

A & M Meat Processing is looking for a motivated young adult to join our team!

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn about the meat-processing business, customer service, retail, and hands-on processing.

📅 WORK SCHEDULE

• Every Saturday is a required workday
• Additional full-day hours will be available on days you are out of school, such as school holidays and breaks
• Sunday may be on-call depending on our game-animal workload
• After-school hours are available if you want additional hours! These may include cleaning, restocking, boxing meat for shipping, and other duties as needed.

🥩 JOB DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

• Man the retail store and help customers
• Take in game animals and assist with skinning
• Help with customer cut orders
• Work on the packaging floor
• Clean and restock
• Box meat for shipping
• Help wherever needed throughout the plant
• Learn different areas of the meat-processing business

✅ REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 18 years old or turning 18 soon
• We may consider making an exception on age for the right person; however, employees under 18 would not be permitted to perform certain tasks due to age restrictions
• Must have your own transportation or a reliable way to get to and from work
• Must be dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn
• Must be willing to work every Saturday

🎓 HOMESCHOOLED OR GRADUATED?

If you are homeschooled or have already graduated, we may be able to offer a full-time internship position with more hours and additional opportunities to learn different areas of the business!

You will be working alongside another 18-year-old intern, giving you the opportunity to learn, work as a team, and gain valuable real-world job experience.

If you’re hardworking, dependable, willing to learn, and not afraid to get your hands dirty, we want to hear from you! 💪🥩
