Apologies for being non-communicative for a long while.
Family concerns/responsibilities have severely limited our availability.
Please call 541-926-7500 and leave a message if you have a question. Please identify yourself, state your question, and leave contact information, repeating your phone number twice.
Rhubarb is not yet available in large quantitles, but if you let us know how much you want, we can call back and make mutually convenient arrangements.
Thank you.

Happy Spring! (Well, almost summer.) It has been an unusually wet season so, because of that and other reasons, the garden produce will be later, quantities less, and varieties fewer. But that's better I suppose (for you at least) than none at all. Will try to update now and then. Our chickens are producing though so we do have fresh brown eggs now and then at $3/doz. If there's a sign where the roadside stand sets in the summertime at the end of our driveway, there should be some available self serve in the baking "Cupboard" in the parking area in front of the house. Have a safe and Happy Memorial Day, and graduation celebrating season. Can't believe our twin grandchildren are graduating "already"!

Old familiar songs often have weighty lyrics. Rarely do we hear the words of the second and third stanza's of "America the Beautiful". Sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir at the inauguration, during the news coverage, these words caught my ear and are worth pondering: Second stanza: ..."O beautiful for pilgrim feet, Whose stern, impassioned stress - A thoroughfare for freedom beat - Across the wilderness! America! America! God mend thine every flaw, Confirm thy soul in self-control, Thy liberty in law. 2nd half of third stanza: America! America! May God thy gold refine, Till all success be nobleness, And every gain divine..."

Thank you for your thoughts/comments. One of the best pieces of advice I have ever received since taking on the role of parenting my 96- and 90-year-old parents still living on their own farm is: "do what works until it doesn't". I apply it frequently. But it is good advice for other things as well, including the roadside stand.

Thanks for your patience.
