As the 2026 Alexander City Farmers Market season comes to a close, I want to express my sincere gratitude to every farmer, vendor and customer who made this year such a tremendous success.
Looking back over the past two seasons, it’s amazing to see how far our market has come. Last year was about building a strong foundation through growth and consistency. This year, we saw the rewards of that hard work with outstanding attendance, an incredible variety of vendors, and another season where we were blessed to hold every scheduled market day without a single cancellation.
The Alexander City Farmers Market has always been about more than just buying and selling. It’s about supporting local agriculture, small businesses, and building relationships within our community. We were fortunate to welcome vendors from five counties, all of whom helped make our market one of the best around.
Earlier this year, I made the decision that the 2026 season would be my last as Market Manager. It has truly been an honor to serve in this role for the past two years. I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many wonderful people and forming friendships that I know will last a lifetime.
To the next Market Manager, I wish you nothing but success. I hope you’ll continue to nurture the relationships that make this market special and build on the strong foundation that’s been established. I’ll always be happy to offer encouragement or guidance whenever it’s needed.
Thank you again to everyone who believed in the Alexander City Farmers Market and helped it thrive. Your support has meant more than words can express, and I look forward to seeing this wonderful tradition continue to grow for many years to come.
Your friend,
Tyler Gardner
