We are on our way with a little bit of corn for the stand on Fairgrounds Road.

Just a little info of what’s going on. With the drought we are picking corn in an area that was planted in dry ground so germination is uneven, which means that out of every three cobs, one is ripe so picking is very difficult

Yes we have irrigation, it’s kind of like with your lawn, it’s not not the same as rain and so the corn yield is low. And with the hot days it slows
The corn down from getting ripe as well.

As my Mom use to say “do the rain dance”!

Day 11 Sweetcorn 2021. We are temporarily out of corn due to low yields (from drought) and heat which stalls the corn. We put what we have at the fairgrounds and at Cenex stands.

So folks do the rain dance and we will keep you posted.
