Our second planning meeting for the December holiday market is tomorrow, Thursday September 10 at 7PM EST.

Here’s what I mean when I say nothing is too small… We have seven teams: location and foot traffic, partnerships and sponsorships, nonprofit selection, vendor relations, media and promotion, event-day operations, community experience — and most of what they need comes down to a few emails, one phone call to a space you already have a connection to, or a couple of hours on the day itself. Some of the most useful help I’ve gotten for past markets took less than an hour of someone’s time!

We’re raising money for Community Lodgings again this year, the same nonprofit we supported at our December market last year. Vendor fees and ticket sales for experiences go straight to them, and vendors keep every dollar of what they sell (unless they also want to donate a small percentage to Community Lodgings). It works when there are enough of us that no one person is planning the whole thing.

We are still reminiscing about our Blooming Together event just over a week ago! We enjoyed meeting so many wonderful vendors and had fun taking pics at our beautiful spring Photo Booth (thanks 😊)

On April 25, 2026, many members of the DMV community came together to share their gifts and turn a simple spring market into something powerful. The energy was real, the kind of day where people showed up fully and made the space feel alive. 🌸

Kids were glowing, vendors poured heart and creativity into every detail, and the entire event pointed back to a mission that truly matters: we thrive when we pour into others and when we make an impact beyond ourselves.

The success of this event came from volunteers, vendors, and donors giving their time and talents to help us bloom with purpose. Together, we raised $1,300 for Faith & Valor to support military families in need of stability and care. 🌿

Thank you for showing up, giving generously, and helping create something meaningful for our community. Until next time, keep spreading the good! 💛

Markets for Good is built on the foundation of community and giving — not just money, but more importantly, time and care. We appreciate you, and we can’t wait for the next one! Tomorrow’s Blooming Together market just got even more magical. We’re thrilled to share that our Spring Fairy 🧚 will be joining us for a special visit, ready to sprinkle a little wonder into your family’s day. ✨

The fairy is Amaris, the heart behind Enchanted Fairytale Tea Parties , and she’s gifting our community with free meet‑and‑greet photos in front of a gorgeous spring backdrop she created with us this week .creche.
