Dave's back in the bandstand this Sunday, from 11:00 until 2:00 - spread the news!

The weather looks to be cooperating to bless the Alfred Farmers Market with a nice late summer day. So, grab your family and friends and head on down to the corner of Saxon and Main in downtown Alfred. Shop with our fine farmers and artisans, grab a bite of great food, and then settle in to enjoy great music! There's no better place to be this Sunday than the Alfred Farmers Market!

Our vendor spotlight falls on our youngest farm vendor, Jim Eshelman of EIEIO Farm. Jim has been an important part of the AFM for the past five years, both as a valued vendor and a part of the AFM Board. We can't say enough good things about this fine young man! So, do yourself a favor, stop by his tent this Sunday, and buy some of the best lamb you'll ever taste.

Come to the Alfred Farmers Market Sunday, August 23, from 11:00 until 2:00, for the Salsa Fest! Kid's activities, salsa tasting, food trucks, live music by Buckwheat & Rich English, and the best farm and artisan vendors in the county!

Alfred Farmers Market has the best local musicians playing every Sunday. This week Buckwheat and Rich English will be performing from 11:00 until 1:00. Buckwheat has been playing at our market for years, so we feel that he is a part of the AFM family. This Sunday, Rich English, an improvisational fiddle player/violinist with Western New York roots, joins him in the bandstand. Rich likes to joke that written music is a little overrated, preferring to let the notes come from the heart instead of a page.

After their performance, a salsa dance party will hopefully break out in the park. So come prepared to enjoy yourself at the Alfred Farmers Market, at the bandstand on the corner of Main and Saxon.

The college students are back in town, and this means it's time for Salsa Fest! N'Dulge is setting up at the market with great Mexican food and drinks. There's no place better to spend a Sunday afternoon in Alfred, so grab your friends and family and come on down to the park for great food, amazing vendors, music and fun! The market is open from 11:00 until 2:00 in the park on the corner of Main and Saxon.

Come hungry, find us at Salsa Fest, and let us handle lunch. Fair warning: saying “I’ll just get chips” may quickly turn into a burrito bowl, guacamole and a margarita. It happens. 🤣

She Brews is at the market this Sunday for Salsa Fest! We always get excited to welcome these great friends back to the park. After you have shopped at the wonderful vendors, grab a bite to eat and a great cup of coffee, and settle in for all the fun at the Alfred Farmers Market.

Our vendor spotlight falls on Sutherby Farm run by Will and Kendyl Sutherby. The Alfred Farmers Market is blessed with many talented bakers, but Will and Kendyl raise the bar high. "Is the bread lady here today?" is a constant customer question, right along with "Does she still have cinnamon rolls?" They also bring a wide variety of gorgeous veggies to sell. So, we encourage everyone to get to the market early, because nothing lasts long at the Sutherby Farm's table!
