Jax has been working on his fresh water snorkeling skills, for a mid season break.

Macintosh,
While I regulate this apple to c***r, I have an admission to address.

Awesome aroma and a unique taste, I need to admit that a Macintosh just off the tree is an amazing apple eating treat. The shed has a full complement of Macintosh in various sizes, these were picked Wednesday past so really about as fresh as Jax and I could manage.

The down side is the skin gets tougher and the flesh gets soft but for about 10-14 days every year this apple stands very tall and is a awesome fresh eater.

Macintosh Apples are in the shed now, 1/4 peck, 1/2 peck, and 1/2 bushel for the Mac sauce crowd, and we have also restocked the raspberries.

We picked up Stanley Plums from the raspberry crew, and they are available in Quarts and Pints.

Packaging more apples through out the day, Honey Crisp is next. We are packaging a few 1/2 bushel of Honey crisp for your Holiday Gatherings

"Dang it's Hot" Macerated Fruit Salad

Vinegar acts as a flavor enhancer that keeps the fruit bright and prevents browning.
The Fruits: Dice 1 of each fruit (nectarine, peach, pear, apple) into bite-sized cubes and toss them into a bowl. (Ginger Gold & Ozark Gold apples do not brown)

The Vinegar Dressing: Mix 1½ tablespoons of Apple C***r Vinegar (or White Balsamic Vinegar), 1 tablespoon of honey, and 3–4 torn fresh mint leaves.How to serve: Pour the mixture over the diced fruit and toss well.

Let it sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving. The vinegar will draw out the natural juices of the peaches and nectarines, creating its own delicious syrup.

You can also add spinach and nuts.
