Hi friends, Lindsey here.

We've got some big announcements. The first is that our market is now closed as well as the herb shop. We don't have a timeline yet for re-opening. As I continue to work toward recovery from what has been a persistent and debilitating ailment, our family is taking time to reassess our vision for Cloudberry.

We thank those loyal customers who have continued to show up for us on a regular basis. We hope you'll stick with us through this pause and the changes to come. We are very determined to stay in this space and do our best to keep Cloudberry alive.

In the future, the market will feature some pantry goods as well as our house-made herbal creations. For the most part, locally sourced groceries will be offered as monthly bulk pick-ups by pre-order. The shop will house bulk herbs at the counter, and will largely function as gathering space.

We hope to experiment with some fun ideas to jumpstart our local gift economy with pop up repair-shops, free clinics, and shop-by donation days. Book club will return, and possibly some poetry readings and open mic nights. I'd also love to launch a Mug Club where members can visit us on Saturdays to socialize with friends as they enjoy unlimited cups of our freshly brewed teas.

To make all of this happen, we really need community support, and volunteers (especially herbalists), who are willing to help out in one way or another. Even helping at the herb counter one day every other month would allow us to keep this area's only herb shop running. We're always open to bartering for more regular help, until I can get further along in my recovery, and we can stabilize the shop finances.

Thanks for reading if you got this far. We wish everyone a very blessed and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy weekend!

The market is open and stocked for your activities and cozy stews for the cold December days ahead. We have a few bottles left from yesterday's dairy sale, so any bottles marked with a shelf date of 12/6 are half off today - they're good for generally at least a week longer, we just can't sell them past today so we'd love to see them find a home :)

Also as a surprise to everyone who's been asking, we have a few pies available this morning - Dutch Apple and Pecan!

Dairy sale!

All dairy with a shelf date of 12/6 is a dollar off. While the milk and cream last much longer than that, we can't sell them past that date and we'd hate to see it go to waste.

Come on by!

Good morning friends!

We know we've been very quiet, but we wanted to let you know that we're still here!

This has been a challenging last few months as we've been working through some health struggles, unfortunately we've taken a break from pie orders as well. With that, we just want to send the biggest thank you and all the love to our wonderful friends who have offered kind words, and our regular customers who have continued stopping by for their dairy, eggs, and treats - we appreciate you all so much. Our market stock has been up and down and we really thank you for sticking with us through it.

While the botanica will remain closed for the season, the market is still open and stocked with delicious glass-bottle dairy, winter veggies for the coziest stews or roasts ever, baked treats, cheeses, high quality local meats, local honey, maple and elderberry syrups (best stocking stuffers ever), and lots of other goodies!

We hope you are all having a wonderful start to the season, and thank you all for being a part of our silly little shop experiment.

Botanica Closure

Hello everyone! We have made the decision to close the herb section of the store for the remainder of the year. The market will stay open as usual. Our family needs full weekends back in our lives for a while so we can play and make memories with our young kiddos! If you need anything from the herb shop, please visit our website for a full list of herbs and fill out a form for pick up in the market at your convenience.

The book club will return in January.

Thanks for understanding! We look forward to serving you in the new year!

There’s something new in the market! We just added these two donation collection boxes on the wall opposite the refrigerator. Every month we will select two charities to donate to along with your contributions. We are excited about this opportunity to share love and resources with our neighbors in need near and far, and we hope you’ll join us in these efforts!!

The first charity we’ve chosen to kick things off with is an incredible organization that brings food supplies and cooks hot meals in areas experiencing disasters and food shortages of all kinds. They’ve made and served meals on 6 continents!

We are also collecting for to help get aid to parts of Alaska that are in need after the recent storms. There is a lot of devastation there, and not a ton of talk about it. Hoping we can help raise some awareness!

Happy Wednesday! Our book of the month for our Wild Wonder Book Club is Mirrors in the Earth by Asia Suler. We are still waiting for copies to arrive from the publisher, so feel free to purchase elsewhere if you need more time to read. Otherwise, you can pick one up a copy in the market next week. Our discussion will be October 26th at 3pm. Mark your calendars!

Happy Back To School week! WE HAVE BIG UPDATES FOR FALL! First up is the Market! Most of the products you used to have to wait for to buy in the shop will now be available all the time in the market section along with our growing refill station, pantry goods and all the rest. We are working to bring in more local and regional CLEAN food options produced by small family owned businesses and farms. Rather than just focusing on local goods, we are prioritizing goods that are pesticide free and kind to the earth, from pasta sauces to flour and beyond. The health of our community and the earth is #1 always!

As for the Botanica, we will be transitioning the space from an artisan craft shop to more of a flexible use space to accommodate more community gatherings, private consults, and classes. The herb counter will be open for walk-ins Fridays and Saturdays 10am-4pm. Outside of these hours, orders for bulk herbs or custom blends can be made through our website order form for easy pick up in the market. All of our bulk herbs and botanicals are listed there for your convenience. Orders must be in by 3pm for next day pick up.

We've got so much lined up for you this fall! From book clubs, to homeschool programming, toddler playgroups, campfire sing-alongs and more, there is so much to look forward to. A full calendar of events for the next few months will be available to snag in the market so you can keep up!

ATTENTION: In honor of the last week of summer, we've made the choice to make this a MARKET ONLY week. This means the Botanica will be closed until next Wednesday, but all your regular food favorites and household refill items are still available to you. We are taking time to be with family and prep for fall.

If you need to stock up on herbs or teas, please send us a message or give us a call. I can place orders for pick up at your convenience in the market.

Pies are coming for the holiday weekend. They'll be on the rack Friday morning. Have a great week everyone!

Happy Saturday!

It's looking like it's going to be a beautiful weekend, with hot days and chilly nights. We've got all your essentials, treats and fresh pies in the market, and something interesting for everyone in the shop whether it's beautiful locally made jewelry, hand-made cutting boards, house plants, natural beauty products, or our own herbs and tea!

We'll be here all day, come for the treats and stay for the 90s playlist there's a solid chance we currently have going in the shop.

We are excited to announce the start of our new book club, Wild Wonder Reads! Join us as we explore books that re-enchant our worldview, rewild our souls, and inspire hope and healing for our shared future. Discussions will take place over tea on the last Sunday of each month at 3pm September through May.

By joining our book club as a sustaining member, you can help support us and our mission to help people reconnect to the earth and each other for mutual flourishing. Your $20 monthly contribution will get you your own copy of each book of the month for easy in store pick up. If you already have your own book but you'd like to join discussions, we're happy to have you too! There's no fee to participate. We'll have a donation bowl set out for drop ins that would like to support our community building efforts.

Our first book will be The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Let's gather to explore the concept of the Gift Economy and learn how nature demonstrates that such a mode of being in the world is not only possible, but preferable!

Sign-up for September's meeting by August 20th to get your copy by the end of the month 😁. Get started as a sustaining member by submitting your September contribution here:
