Hi friends, Lindsey here.
We've got some big announcements. The first is that our market is now closed as well as the herb shop. We don't have a timeline yet for re-opening. As I continue to work toward recovery from what has been a persistent and debilitating ailment, our family is taking time to reassess our vision for Cloudberry.
We thank those loyal customers who have continued to show up for us on a regular basis. We hope you'll stick with us through this pause and the changes to come. We are very determined to stay in this space and do our best to keep Cloudberry alive.
In the future, the market will feature some pantry goods as well as our house-made herbal creations. For the most part, locally sourced groceries will be offered as monthly bulk pick-ups by pre-order. The shop will house bulk herbs at the counter, and will largely function as gathering space.
We hope to experiment with some fun ideas to jumpstart our local gift economy with pop up repair-shops, free clinics, and shop-by donation days. Book club will return, and possibly some poetry readings and open mic nights. I'd also love to launch a Mug Club where members can visit us on Saturdays to socialize with friends as they enjoy unlimited cups of our freshly brewed teas.
To make all of this happen, we really need community support, and volunteers (especially herbalists), who are willing to help out in one way or another. Even helping at the herb counter one day every other month would allow us to keep this area's only herb shop running. We're always open to bartering for more regular help, until I can get further along in my recovery, and we can stabilize the shop finances.
Thanks for reading if you got this far. We wish everyone a very blessed and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
